Residential and Student Services Programs, as
a part of the Division of Student Affairs, supports
the long-held tradition at the University of California,
Berkeley of teaching, research and public service
excellence.
This tradition is accomplished through an integrated
program that value quality in all the services
we provide to the campus community. RSSP supports
the University's mission by providing our students
with a comprehensive residential student life
experience, state of the art dining services,
safe and clean residence halls, an effective transition
into the University through a well-planned orientation
and a developmentally based early childhood education
program.
We are committed to staff excellence through
diversity, professional development, the efficient
use of resources and staff and student input in
the decision making process.
Our customers include residents of our facilities
(students, faculty and staff), campus clients
(faculty and staff), as well as external clients
(residential conference guests and individuals
bringing events to the campus).
RSSP employs 2,000 full and part-time staff who
are fully committed to providing our clients with
a life-enriching experience based on the tradition
of academic excellence at the University of California,
Berkeley.
