As Interim Associate Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs for Residential and Student Service Programs (RSSP), Peter Hoenig oversees a multi-faceted array of student services and programs that includes student and family housing, residential life, childcare services, new student orientation, information technologies, housing facilities, and residential and campus dining services. RSSP has an annual combined operating budget of more than $113 million and a workforce of approximately 2,000.

Mr. Hoenig joined RSSP as Director of Finance in 2003, overseeing the areas of Budget & Financial Planning, Cal 1 Card, Cashiers, and Payroll. Prior to this he served as Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President for Heald Colleges. He has more than 30 years experience in administration, finance, legal, real estate, information systems, and operations analysis.

In addition to his CPA license, Mr. Hoenig holds a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from the University of California at Davis and an MBA from UC Berkeley (Go Bears!) with an emphasis in Operations Management and Accounting.

Born in Berkeley, he has lived in the Bay Area nearly all his life. He and his wife Georgia make their home in Danville, where they enjoy the outdoors and the company of their dogs.
