Children's Meals

Through an innovative collaboration with Cal Dining, the Early Childhood Education Program serves meals to address the overall health and wellness to our youngest members of the University. Over the past few years, we have been able to provide more organic, whole grain, low sodium and low sugar items for the children. We are currently working with United Natural Foods, a distributor of natural and organic foods (http://www.unfi.com/), and Cal Dining to provide more organic produce when available, whole grains, free range poultry, and organic eggs. Although our program will not be Certified Organic, we will do our best to meet the nutritional needs of the children by providing them with healthy alternatives, including low sodium and low sugar snacks and as many organic options as possible.

Parents who choose to provide meals and snack to their children themselves are able to do so. We accommodate most dietary needs, including vegan, vegetarian, and those with medical restrictions.
