Shipping Program Materials
Program materials may be shipped no more than one week prior to the conference. If materials are received earlier, there will be a $100.00 storage fee. Please clearly identify the name of the conference and the UC Berkeley Conference Services Coordinator's name on each box. A fee of $3.00 per box will be charged for all boxes after the tenth box.
If there are any materials remaining after the conference ends, you must make arrangements to have those items picked up by your carrier within 48 hours. Please advise your Conference Services Coordinator of these arrangements. Any materials remaining after 48 hours become the property of the University of California, Berkeley.
Phones
Sleeping Rooms
Telephones with campus and local dialing service (within a 12-mile radius) are provided in most rooms at no extra charge. Long distance phone calls must be charged to calling cards or major credit cards. Telephones and dialing instructions are provided in each room and are available at the unit office.
Phones are not provided in the rooms at the Clark Kerr Campus. Instead, emergency phones are located in the hallway of each floor.
Meeting Rooms
For Campus guests -
Telephone service can be provided in our meeting rooms. Please contact Communications and Network Services directly to have phone lines activated in residential meeting rooms. Please confirm the location of the phone jack in the meeting room with your conference coordinator, and initiate your requests three weeks prior to your need for service.
For community guests -
You will work with Conference Services to set up an account with Communication and Network Services for direct billing. Conference Services will place the phone order for you once your account has been created. Please allow one month for this process.
