Eligibility
Student must have a current and active registration indicating that they are a Graduate Student in Bearfacts to purchase or add points to this plan.

Period of Contract
The Fall and Spring semesters of 2012-13 as defined in the official University academic calendar shall constitute the period of the Graduate Student Meal Plan contract, except for the holiday periods listed below. This contract period begins on Friday, August 17, 2012 and ends on Saturday, May 18, 2013. Note that meal plans will be available for use in the fall beginning Friday, August 17, 2012.

Holiday Periods
Cal Dining locations will be closed for the following holiday periods:
- Thanksgiving Break –Thurs., Nov. 22, 2012 – Sat., Nov. 24, 2012
- Winter Break –Sun., Dec. 16, 2012 – Tue., January 15, 2013
- Spring Break –Sat. March 23, 2013 – Sat. March 30, 2013

Contract Duration
The Graduate Meal Plan contract is for the Fall and Spring semesters. No contracts are sold for the Fall or Spring semester only.
Graduate meal plans may be purchased until April 1, 2013. Your credit card will be charged the full dollar amount associated with the plan; points and costs are NOT pro-rated based on date of purchase.

Dining Locations
Your Graduate Student Meal Plan is available at all sixteen Cal Dining locations: Clark Kerr, Crossroads, Café 3, and Foothill residence dining commons; The Den, Cub Market, CKCub and Bear Market residential retail; and Golden Bear, Pat Brown’s, Ramona’s, Terrace Café, Common Grounds, Qualcomm CyberCafe, The Pro Shop at RSF and The View Cafe at LHS.

Cal 1 Card
Cal Dining uses a computerized system to control access to its facilities. Your student ID card will be magnetically encoded for the meal plan specified on your contract. NO MEAL SHALL BE PROVIDED WITHOUT PRESENTATION OF VALID STUDENT ID OR CASH. There is a fee for the replacement of a lost or stolen photo ID card. STUDENT ID CARDS ARE NOT TRANSFERABLE.

Special Diets
Cal Dining locations offer a wide variety of meal options, including vegetarian and vegan selections. Although not guaranteed, special diets may be accommodated within our regular offerings. Meal plan holders can arrange a meeting with our chef and nutrition counselor to discuss any special dietary concerns.

Payments
Graduate meal plans must be purchased online using credit card payment. Accepted credit cards include Visa, Mastercard and Discover. Graduate meal plans cannot be billed to your CARS account.

Additional Points
Additional meal plan points can be purchased online at any time prior to the contract end date of May 18, 2013. ($50 purchases 55 points.) All points will rollover from the Fall to Spring semester.

Refunds/Cancellations
There are no refunds or cancellations of the graduate student meal plan points. All points (including add-on points) must be used by May 18, 2013 or funds will be forfeited. No unused points will rollover to the summer semester or next academic year.
