Balance is the key to maintaining a healthy lifestyle and Cal Dining offers the choice, flexibility and resources you need to live healthy while you are at Cal! If you have food allergies, religious dietary restrictions or simply need guidance with food selections, we'll help you make delicious choices, safely and easily.

Every Cal Dining location offers a variety of nutritionally balanced food options so you can choose based on your dining preference and nutritional needs. Nutritional analysis of the food we serve is available in our units and online and our nutrition web site is filled with helpful nutrition resources and an online food planner. Nutrition education targeted to our student customers is planned throughout the year.

Nutrition Highlights

  • Get nutrition analysis in all our dining halls or on-line
  • Use only trans-fat free rice oil for frying and vegan margarine
  • We serve organic, trans-fat free peanut butter
  • Use only whole wheat buns
  • We serve lowfat yogurt, mayonnaise and cottage cheese instead of full fat options
  • We offer vegan, and Kosher vegetarian options; look for those logos in our dining hall menus
  • We offer soy and lactose free milk at every dining location
  • Check out our weekly produce stand at GBC on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
