Cal 1 Card

The Cal 1 Card is the University of California Berkeley's official photo identification card. It is your permanent card, and it is not transferable. The Cal 1 Card serves several purposes: Indentification & Access, Cal 1 Card Debit Plan and Cal Dining Meal Plans. Please read below for details. Click here to go to the Cal 1 Card website.

HOW THE CAL 1 CARD FUNCTIONS
Your Cal 1 Card provides simple, convenient and secure access to benefits and services.
Identification & Access

Your Cal 1 Card provides access to:

  • Library services
  • Residence halls
  • Recreational Sports Facilities
  • University Health Services
  • Discounts off-campus and on-campus
  • Sporting events and other campus activities
  • Athletic Ticket offices
  • Student Government voting
  • Student Check cashing
  • Rides on public transportation
Cal 1 Card Debit Plan Cal Dining Meal Plans

Deposit funds in this stored value campus debit card, and then make purchases at Campus locations, such as:

  • Campus Restaurants
  • Cal Bookstore
  • Residence Hall Laundry services
  • Selected Vending Machines
  • Free Speech Movement Cafe

Cal Dining Meal Plans are pre-purchased and include a combination of meals and points. Swipe your at:

  • Residential Dining Commons for meals or,

  • one of five Campus Restaurants to use your meal plan points.
