of all residential students. RFL provides programs, resources and
services which augment the academic mission of the University by
providing opportunities for academic and personal growth.
Each residential complex is coordinated by professional staff members
who oversee the residential programs in their living community.
Each hall or area within the unit is staffed with paraprofessionals
including Resident Assistants who serve as peer advisors, assist
with residents educational and social activities and help
maintain community standards. For more information on leadership
opportunities check out http://www.housing.berkeley.edu/student/leadership.html.
Academic Services Centers exist in Units 1, 2, and 3, Clark Kerr Campus, and Foothill.
Bowles, Stern and Foothill residents share academic program facilities.
Services provided by the Academic Services Centers include study sessions
with tutors, computing centers, faculty programs, courses and advising.
All Computing Centers have Macintosh and IBM / PC compatible computers
running the latest software applications and are connected to the
campus network which includes GLADIS,
MELVYL

During the evening hours Security Monitors are posted at the entrance
of all halls in Units 1, 2, 3, and Stern Hall. The Security Monitor
is there to assist in the security of the community and to control
access by people who do not live in the building. At Clark Kerr
Campus and Foothill, because of multiple private entrances, the
security staff patrols the grounds of the facility, and operates
an information desk in the evenings. For more safety information,
