The Cal 1 Card is the official student
identification card. Go to the homepage, cal1card.berkeley.edu,
to learn more about your Card.
The Cal 1 Card automatically comes with a debit account. Add funds online with credit card or bank account transfer in the mail by check or in person with cash to start using it today. Enjoy no minimum balance or transaction fees. A portion of all Cal 1 Card sales goes back to support student services. The Cal 1 Card is accepted at a variety of on and off campus merchants. Use your debit account for food, laundry in Residence Halls, textbooks, Cal gear, school supplies, printing and copying in the campus libraries and much more. No need to carry cash when you already have a Cal 1 Card!

Residential Meal Plans: Standard meal plans are included in room and board rates; "points" are the currency with which students use their meal plan. Visit the meal plan web page for more information, including terms and conditions and FAQ: caldining.berkeley.edu/meal_plans_residential.html.
Non-residential Meal Plans: Students living off-campus or in Cal Housing apartments can purchase a non-resident meal plan online or by stopping in the Cashier's Office.
