Life at Clark Kerr - South/East
Stefano is a public health major from Los Altos, CA. He is a sophomore who has lived at Clark Kerr for two years. As Stefano loves playing soccer, he finds Clark Kerr's field really convenient for Soccer Sundays. Stefano thinks it's great that all his group projects want to meet at Building 7's huge lounge, so that he only has to roll out of bed to work.

Q: What was your first impression of Clark Kerr?
A: CKC has "Campus" in its name for a reason - it is the largest unit, with ten residential buildings and the Krutch Theater on the premises that from Dwight to Derby.

Q: What does Clark Kerr remind you of?
A: Clark Kerr is sort of like a resort, with the water fountains, plant life, and huge courtyards between buildings. There are so many things you can do on the grounds, including playing soccer on the field, running around the track, or hiking up some trails on the hills to a great view of the Bay.

Q: What is your building like?
A: The corridors in Building 7 are really wide, so we could play frisbee down it if we wanted—not that residents ever play hall sports. My triple room is ridiculously big though; we rearranged all the furniture so that all three beds fit on the floor. We each have our own desk, dresser, and bookshelf, which all fit comfortably with plenty of floor space as well.

Q: What can residents do at Clark Kerr in their free time?
A: Our Hall Ass. put on some really cool events, like a dance in the Building 12 Couch Lounge at the beginning of the year and several themed meals, including a luau in December and a Harry Potter dinner in our Hogwarts-like dining hall. Clark Kerr has the best campus for these functions because each building offers something unique, and it'll take all year for new residents to discover them all. Even though I visit Buildings 8, 9 and 12 frequently, it's less convenient to cross the whole grounds to get to Buildings 2, 3, and 4.

Q: What was hardest about adjusting to living at Clark Kerr?
A: The main problem with living at Clark Kerr is that you can't go home if you have a one-hour break between classes; it takes least 15 minutes to get home from the south edge of campus. When it's really hot in August, the walk to Clark Kerr can be the roughest part of a long day.
