Design Services provides interior and architectural design and management of minor capital projects for Housing & Dining Services. Minor capital projects covers a wide range of upgrades and renovations of our facilitites which can range from $300 for ergonomic accessories to $250,000 for an interior renovation. The Design Services project managers meet with the project contact or committee to program and research each service request. Then they provide design, purchasing, and installation services as required.
The office manages approximately 45 to 50 projects at any given time. Recent projects include upgrading the Cashiers' Office, and consolidating the Information Systems staff in their new home at 2610 Channing Way. Last year's projects included renovating the Clark Kerr Executive Dining Room, and managing the reupholstery of all student room suites at Foothill!
