IT establishes long-range goals and objectives in the area of technology and works in concert with campus partners and the Information Services and Technology (IST) Department in developing and interpreting computing and technic al standards.
IT manages all RSSP business applications, six Academic Computing Centers, the Residence Hall In-Room Connection (IRC) program (8,000 network nodes), over 60 LANs, and over 300 individual workstations. The IT department is divided into five functional units: Director's Office; Computing Support Services, Residential Computing (ResComp); Systems and Applications; and Network and Infrastructure.
