EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR'S OFFICE

Sutton, Steve - Executive Director
ssutton@berkeley.edu | (510) 643-6849

Hello! I'm Steve Sutton, and I had the great pleasure to recently return to UC Berkeley after a 16 year hiatus. During that time away, I worked at universities in Florida and Texas, but am very excited to return to Residential and Student Service Programs (RSSP). I originally got into the field of student affairs work as a result of my being a resident assistant (many years ago!) — as you can see, that experience was life changing!
Within the Office of Student Development (OSD), you'll find a team of hard-working, dedicated, and creative folks focused on doing all they can to make the student experience outside the classroom a positive and supportive one. I invite you to learn more about OSD and how you can be involved by dropping by the 3rd floor of our building on Channing Way.

Three reasons I love being here are: I get to read about and design research projects related to the effect of the university experience on students, I work with terrific people, and the student population at Cal is the most amazing and talented group I have ever served. If you want to talk about student research, the impact of technology on higher education, or raid my candy dish, please stop by my office on the 3rd floor of the RSSB.
