The Office of Student Development (OSD), which is part of the Student Affairs Division and the Residential and Student Service Programs (RSSP) Cluster, is hiring new and renewed positions that emerged from our recently completed strategic planning process.

OSD is charged with providing programs and services to all first year and all residential students at UC Berkeley. We provide these services through the following areas: New Student Services (campus orientation and Summer Bridge), Residential Living, Academic Services, Family Living, Pre-Collegiate Outreach Programs, and the OSD central management team. Ninety-eight percent of all new students and hundreds of upper division and graduate students live in 28 University-owned and -operated single student residential communities (residence halls, suites, apartments) and two family housing communities, totaling over 9000 residents. OSD is effectively the gateway to UC Berkeley, providing a comprehensive, year-round orientation and welcome week program for all new students, and a host of intentional, theory-grounded programs and services for residential students.

Resident Director (Single student)

These positions report to their respective assistant/program director and provide the overall leadership toward the intellectual, social, and academic development of residents. The RDs supervise a Resident Assistant staff, advise the students' associations, and serve as the chief student development officers within their residential community.
Salary: This is a live-in position. The annual salary is $39,960 plus room (and board when Cal Dining is open).
