Equity and access are an important part of the on campus environment and are values Residential Student Service Programs aspires to foster in university housing, tied to UC Berkeley’s devotion to our Principles of Community. We strive to foster a culture of care through the principles of inclusion, diversity, and social justice. As a vital part of this mission, Cal Housing works to provide reasonable accommodations or inclusive spaces to students based upon their ability, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, religious or spiritual identity, and other identity statuses.

If you have an identity that you believe requires a customized housing assignment that is not mentioned above, you may get in contact with our office to inquire about if Cal Housing would consider your request when making housing assignments.
